After Bekah Kuster, VNRC’s AmeriCorps member, provided some key context on the importance of weatherization to meeting Vermont’s climate commitments, Becca White, Community Engagement Manager at Efficiency Vermont, discussed the ways that participating communities can get involved in this year’s month-long campaign, including:
- Weekly “Weatherization Wednesday” online video series featuring trivia, Q&As, DIY-videos, and tips for weatherization in a short 20-30 minute blast every week in October.
- Regional events with Regional Planning Commissions alongside our Weatherization Agencies that offer income eligible services with special information for your communities. Connect with your Regional Planning Commission on what you would like the regional event to look like!
- Free *Virtual* Home Energy Visits provided by Efficiency Vermont to people across the state who are interested in learning how their home could benefit from weatherization.
- There will be a focus on weatherization + heat pumps this year to help folks move even further toward eliminating their fossil fuel use!
If you think your community would be interested in joining this year’s campaign, sign up as a Participating Community here!
